The usher is the first to greet a person who attends the house of prayer, and for this reason, he is the one who projects the first impression of the Church. The usher's work at this point is very important as he prepares the land for planting.

An usher who welcomes with a smile and a friendly wave of greeting expresses joy at being in the house of God and welcoming a visitor or even a member of the church. These gestures in turn cause joy in the people who receive them, motivating them and sometimes comforting them( How many have not been comforted by the warm greeting of a brother when attending church? ).

There should always be an usher available to accommodate people in the seats to prevent them from walking unattended in the aisles. As the main function of the usher is to serve and not in a specific task, ushers can be designated for different tasks according to the needs of the congregation and its size.

The ministry exercises power in the discipline and order of the Church during and after active service, the authority and responsibility of the ushers is very important.
